The Miami Heat always have found a way of winning games when they are trailing, and when they beat the Toronto Raptors this week after being down double digits, they found themseleves having to make a comeback again. The next game, thanks to Chris Bosh scoring 13 consecutive fourth-quarter points to come back and beat the Bobcats by one. Then Tuesday, when the Detriot Pistons came to town, it finally hurt them.. Miami cut an 18-point lead to three with another fourth-quarter run, but got no closer, and that was it for the streak. It had to happen at some point and was likely to happen as the result of losing focus, taking shortcuts on defense and being bored in the regular season.
"If you don't maintain that edge mentally, teams will make you pay," Heat forward Shane Battier said last week. "Every team has those lapses. Veteran teams, contending teams try to keep those games to a minimum." - This shows how the Heat understand they will need their A game every night in the NBA
Looking at Miami's next games,, the one that stands out is tuesdays. That's when the Heat go on the road and visit the Indiana Pacers,a team with the best record in the eastern conference. The Pacers took Miami to seven games last year in the playoffs and, if it happens again, they want home court. These are the only two teams in the East with winning records. Besides if anything crazy happens to these two teams, it seems they will be playing again in the playoffs and the Heat need to send a message.
